WITH YOUR HELP WE AIM TO:

1) Instigate the shaping of a sustainable future for Oswestry, putting local people at the heart of the process, engaging them as active and proactive participants.

2) Promote & support co-operation between independent retailers.

3) Demand a Town Council with the vision to creatively support the local economy in the light of rising oil prices and global change and to build Oswestry’s future around a strong and economically healthy community.

4) Reject 1980’s style development proposals based around out of town hypermarkets as totally inappropriate to the challenges we now face.

5) Inform by researching and highlighting issues, and by encouraging comment and debate.

6) Put Oswestry on the path to becoming a Transition Town. As fuel prices and climate change take us into uncharted territory, this process will significantly increase our resilience to the effects of Peak Oil and drastically reduce carbon emissions.
